Patients can now also consult via the Spreekuur.nl app

Patients can now consult via the Spreekuur.nl app. The app complements the web application that has been offering patients a user-friendly platform for all their online GP care since 2020.

Patients could already easily share chronic care measurements with the healthcare provider. It was also already possible to access the Personal Health Environment (PBL) from the app. To this has now been added the possibility of taking for online consultations.

Patients can ask questions for both themselves and their family members in the app. You start by choosing a treatment area. Based on this, it is determined whether it is possible to handle your question via the app. If so, you immediately start a conversation with your healthcare provider. The patient receives a notification of this in the Consultation app.

Ambition

It all fits seamlessly with Spreekuur.nl's ambition to make all information and communication available in one place for both patient and healthcare provider. With Spreekuur.nl, a Topicus and DigiDok initiative, GPs could by this time give good online advice via the web application. Because patients could already share information about their complaint, including a photo. The service was rolled in March 2020 out at Huisartsen Eemland on an accelerated basis due to the Corona crisis. The service is now accessible to more than 2.5 million patients in six healthcare areas. Spreekuur.nl also provides patients with user-friendly access to their GP records and data can be transmitted through the platform.

“It is a great next step in our ambition to offer every patient accessible digital care with all information and communication in one place.”
