Somtoday organizes an Inspiration Day for education professionals

Today, Wednesday, November 19th, is the Somtoday Inspiration Day. A day full of interesting sessions for everyone who works with Somtoday. This year, we're looking ahead. What trends and developments are shaping the education sector, and how can Somtoday help schools in this regard? Attendees will be inspired by a varied program at Fort Voordorp in Groenekan, featuring practical examples, engaging contributions, and surprising insights.

In a turbulent time for education, driven by digitalization, teacher shortages, and the rise of personalized learning, we ask ourselves: what does all of this mean for Somtoday's role as the digital heart of the school? We do this through four themes.

Theme 1: Connecting with students and parents

In recent years, high expectations at home have increased the pressure on students to perform, while their self-responsibility is also increasingly encouraged. Meanwhile, schools are expected to ensure fast and clear communication with home. How do schools deal with this, and what can Somtoday offer?

Theme 2: View on the student

It's the key theme consistently emphasized by the Inspectorate: schools should monitor their students' cognitive and social development. Yet, it's difficult for schools to effectively collect and monitor all relevant information about students. How can Somtoday and CumLaude help?

Theme 3: A look into the future

Our society is under intense pressure and changing rapidly. This naturally has a direct impact on education, both in terms of content ("New Economy," citizenship, etc.), organization (teacher shortage, shrinking student population), and technology (AI). How can we best manage these developments?

Theme 4: Moving forward by working together

Whatever direction we take as a society and as an education sector, Somtoday believes we can't do it alone. Only by working together with all parties within the sector can we face the future with confidence.

In addition to the substantive sessions, the program offers opportunities for socializing during lunch and a closing reception. A variety of sessions will give visitors a broad overview of current developments within Somtoday and the role that schools and software play in education.
